I have rediscovered the joys of sketching. Not that I was ever an artist. My father tried his best since he and my aunts are very good artists. So he used to make sit with a drawing book and divide a page into grids. Then he would try to make me draw portraits. The first one he made me try was Rabindranath Tagore! Can you imagine poor me trying her best to capture the poet on paper? Well, I never managed to. Finally after a few attempts my father decided to accept defeat at my ineptitude to make use of my artistic genes. I never had any I guess. But I was so bored yesterday after my long conversation with Essar and VK, that I decided to try my hand at sketching.
And I thought I could find some parallels in real life. I see Essar in Jon and VK in Garfield:0)
I think I have a few Odies in my life. Not half as odiously cute.
Oh the face of Garfield here is so me!
I can only identify a few of them with my friends. Colleague CP is as dumb as Thomson and as cute. The hermit next to Thomson was pointed out to by a friend and he said, "So this is what you look like when you are angry ha?!!!" The rest will take time it seems, while I have to get back to my stories. But this was a nice distraction...

Fink: I so identify with him. He's an adorable lazy bum. And as colleague C points out to me -- there's also that mean streak in him...
Sonal: Hey you much married lady, how are you? Glad to see you here. And hows it going?
Penny Lane: A royal cat...LOL. I can imagine him doing the preening act:0)
First Rain: Thanks. Of course I am doing ok. More so because it is very laidback at work.

8 by 52: That expression, my dear, is classically you. You can't deny it:)
bill watterson too rediscovered the joys of sketching and stumbled upon a certain 6 year old boy who said the darndest things that made incredibly and uncanny sense, almost like an adult trapped in a child's body, and who had a toy tiger who spoke back to him.
someone once told me 'you know the guy who says "hey wait, i have an idea!" ... he can change the world'.
Nish: :0)
Hey these are really good lady! BTW what happened to that Lufthansa thing?
Grey Shades: Lufthansa...never applied. Another airlines, yes. But I guess it is not happening since there was no reply:(
hello. why did you quit your job?
Ow! :( So you are indeed serious abt this thing! Well hope you are enjoying this mini-vacation of sorts. BTW what happened to the Salsa'ing? If I remember correctly you were quite fond of it :)
Soo: No no I didn't quit my job.
Grey Shades: I had given up actually when they kept asking for photographs two weeks in a row. Now I am thinking maybe it was never meant to be. It is a bit sad but I am not feeling overwhelmed. Hoping to salsa this winter. For now I am thinking of joining bellydancing.
oh oh oh me too (bellydancing). but it's all in bloody gk. too far for me!
I hate it when ppl stick the carrot in fornt of you for so long only to take it away i the end! :( Another friend of mine is a huge bellydancing fan. She goes there or reasons best not mentioned but doesnt it require years of training to actually feel all those muscles in the tummy and then work them?
At the end of a week, it was no longer a carrot, so I really okay with it:-) It takes years to perfect it? At least I hope I will have fun while aspiring for perfection.
